Why raw vegan food?

Because it’s good for you.  Because it makes your organs smile.  Because it is exciting and fun.  Because you will experience more flavor.  A pie we made during classBecause you will have something very cool to talk about – you will probably even meet new friends!

You may be thinking…what’s so fun about sitting down to a bowl of salad?  That’s what most people imagine when they think of eating raw vegetables.  If that’s the case, then some of the foods we create at our house would probably blow your mind! Take for example, lasagna, fettucine alfredo, or carrot cake. Raw cuisine is a fairly new art and the food is absolutely fabulous.  It can open up a whole new world of possibilities for you and your family.

One way you can try out some raw meals is to go to a local raw food restaurant.  Take a friend, look at the faces you find there, and take the opportunity to ask questions.  I think that you will find that people who are living a raw food lifestyle are more than happy to share what they know.  You will find an abundance of stories of weight loss, increased energy, better sleep, physical healing, and more enthusiasm and zest for life.  Here is an example of a site where you can find local raw food restaurants:

We have so much fun in the kitchen in our family that I have been inspired to learn more.  I am on my way to California (right now!) to enroll in the Living Light Institute in Fort Bragg, CA.  I am here to work with the world renowned raw food gourmet chef, Cherie Soraya.

My blogs over the next few weeks will fill you in on what all the excitement is about here at the Living Light Institute.  It is the premier raw organic vegan chef school in the world!  How cool is this?!
