my first day working at an amazing restaurant ........... Thrive - Seattle!!!
I am full of anticipation of starting my first day at the incredibly cool raw-some restaurant close to the University district in Seattle.
With the ending of our Brazil workshops, Ralph and I are really getting serious about our commitment to the raw food lifestyle. I will likely be here in Seattle for a year to develop experience to go along with my education at Hippocrates Health Institute and the Living Light Institute. And, Ralph is going to stay in Arizona and continue to get our 5-day Ready-Set-Raw program going there.
I can't wait!!
I have really enjoyed the energy of the place ... totally awesome! Monika the owner/manager is super and I can't wait to dig in. I'm a little nervous ... so wish me luck! More about Thrive coming soon. Check out their website at -

About Superfoods
These superfoods are pack full of nutritiona and actually begin to repair the body: Wheat Grass, Goji Berries, Acai, Spirulina, Blue-Green Algae, Hemp Seed.
A Super-Food is considered to be the one which contains all or most of the following characteristics: Antioxidants are an umbrella name for many substances that retard the body's normal process of oxidation, meaning a reaction to oxygen that releases "free radicals" that damage cells and break the body down. Digestion releases free radicals from food. Antioxidants help prevent this and also destroy free radicals and slow oxidation, reducing allergies, heart disease, cancer and aging effects.
Raw Foods Starter Diet
The following is the raw living foods starter diet outlined in its most basic but powerful form.

2. Organic Cucumber juice (only cucumber) for breakfast 500 mL
3. Organic Lunch - Big salad for lunch – large plate of salad with sprouts as the first layer with mixed greens on top. Lemon juice for dressing or use the Hippocrates house dressing. One vegetable side dish.
4. Wheatgrass 40mL at around 3 in the afternoon.

I wanted to share this photo because I think she has the most beautiful smile! She is a powerhouse of a woman who just lights up the room when she walks in.
Reactivate Life?!
Let’s explore what it means to reactivate our life and why one would want to do so.
I think we would all agree that when the word toxic is used there is a definite sense of negativity, or shall we say, danger that is associated with it. No one wants to be toxic, right? Yet, most of us are surrounded with many forms of toxicity. We hear about it on the news every day. What most of us may not realize is that toxicity is far more prevalent in our lives than we think.
Angulations Day and Pecan Apple Pie!
Well, without getting too political, I love, love, love Obama and his beautiful family! I can’t express how excited I am. I feel like screaming, and, well, I actually have a few times, “hehe” - it feels good! I have been hiding my passport in a passport case for years now. I always felt a little sad about it but, hey, America was not the most liked country for awhile and some people would let you know. I felt scared. I love my country but it has been a bit funky for some time now.
Driving through fog
So, arriving here in Northern California was beautiful..I took the back roads and wow…I felt like I was in England, Ireland, and America all at the same time. The California vineyards are gorgeous. There are so many places to go wine tasting. I felt like pulling over at every open tasting spot but I did not. I am trying to be a good girl because wine is not part of my diet.
Why raw vegan food?
Why raw vegan food?
Because it’s good for you. Because it makes your organs smile. Because it is exciting and fun. Because you will experience more flavor.
Because you will have something very cool to talk about – you will probably even meet new friends!
You may be thinking…what’s so fun about sitting down to a bowl of salad? That’s what most people imagine when they think of eating raw vegetables. If that’s the case, then some of the foods we create at our house would probably blow your mind! Take for example, lasagna, fettucine alfredo, or carrot cake. Raw cuisine is a fairly new art and the food is absolutely fabulous. It can open up a whole new world of possibilities for you and your family.
